Parents or Guardians;
          It’s that time again! We’ve been getting pretty messy in the art room and have used all of the baby wipes previously donated. If you are able, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please send your child in with 1 or 2 packages of baby wipes to help keep the art room and our little artists clean.
         In addition, we no longer need milk/water gallon jugs or cartons but can still use recycled items such as:
-Newspaper* (I can use LOTS of old newspaper!! I'll be using it especially for this years musical!)
-Toilet paper and paper towel rolls
-Egg cartons
-Cardboard

Thank you in advance for your constant support of the arts program at P.S. 31. I am looking forward to continuing a great year!

As a parent, I am always looking forward into providing my children with the best possible education. I love how they are making their way up the art industry. Well, it does not really offend me that they do not want to follow my footsteps, but they are just kids. I want them to follow their desired, even if it is not want I want. Parents should be like this, we should think of our children's happiness more than ours.

    Welcome to my Art Blog! It is my 4th year teaching in a New York City public school and I couldn't be any more delighted that it has been with P.S.31q. I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts Education (B.F.A.) from LIU POST as well as a Master's in Fine Arts (M.F.A). also from LIU POST. My theory in practice for all grades is to teach through the Elements and Principles of Design. (i.e. line, color, shape, form, pattern etc.) The students get a well rounded arts education with introduction to artists and art history. It is my goal to aid your children in their other subjects by integrating what they are learning in their classrooms. I hope you enjoy the projects they are bringing home as much as I love teaching them!
